DJ Karma, Co-Founder and Contracts Manager for Destiny Entertainment, left a career in landscape architecture to pursue a more "enterpreneur" opportunity. With her love of music and her background in hip-hop dance (choreography and teaching), DJing became yet another mode of artistic expression.
As an owner of DE, she wears many other "hats," including handling all of the finances, doing all of the graphics for advertising, creating some of the custom video content, and creating this and related websites.
Karma & Destiny both wanted a company to emulate a real family, with an atmosphere of support, sharing, and friendship. "I consider the guys [Destiny Entertainment DJs] to be like my little brothers- I don't want to say sons, because that makes me feel REALLY old! But we love to make sure everyone is fed a hot meal after every gig (sometimes before too), so everyone knows that we really care about them and appreciate how hard they're working. That job, since I do most of the cooking, has fallen into my lap- and I wouldn't have it any other way!"
